Ballymena Nursery School has been awarded the title of “Every School a Good School” in recognition of our nursery having a high level of capacity for sustained improvement in the interest of all learners.
With the support of a representative from the CSSC (Controlled Schools’ Support Council) our staff and Board of Governors discussed and reflected upon the comments received from our most past parental questionnaire in order to create a statement of ethos of our nursery. The staff and Board of Governors were overwhelmed and delighted with the positive responses from parents coupled with the anecdotal quotes from the children. Ethos is vital to a school as it reflects who we are and what we are about. It is the rock on which a school is built and should be reflected in every aspect of school life. With this in mind, we would like to share the following statement of ethos for our school -
“At Ballymena Nursery School, we pride ourselves in providing a warm, welcoming and safe environment which is respectful and supportive of everyone.”
Our parent representatives on our Board of Governors are Marlene and Sarah. Their photos and contact information can be found in the hallway at nursery. If you would like to contact the Board of Governors, please ask Mrs Coulter our school principal, and she will advise you on how this can been done.
