Twinkle twinkle little star

Back last year, Ballymena Nursery School entered an art competition through Armagh Planetarium, who were on the search for a design to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.

A pupil from Mrs McMullan’s class created “an imaginative and unique design which caught the preschool judges attention!” Thanks to our winner, the Planetarium agreed to visit nursery school as part of her prize!

Today Helen from Armagh Planetarium brought the whole solar system into our nursery. We “visited” each of the planets, the sun and the moon, and helped to put stars in the sky. We saw and experimented with space rocks and even had the chance to become spacemen ourselves.

Thank you Helen for bringing the Planetarium to Ballymena Nursery and well done to our past pupils who entered the competition and congratulation to our superstar who won!
