Respecting Diversity Policy
Ballymena Nursery is committed to valuing diversity by
providing equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice
for all of our children and their families. We aim to make our
nursery a happy place to be regardless of who you are, where you
are from or what your beliefs and traditions may be.
This ethos stretches across all aspects of our practice
involving children, staff, parents and the wider community.
The curriculum offered at Ballymena Nursery encourages the
children to develop positive attitudes about themselves as well as
towards people who are different from themselves. It encourages
children to empathise with others, to be tolerant and to welcome
diversity in nursery and in the wider world.
We aim to communicate with our parents from other countries
through our translation facility on our school website, our
translated newsletters and the facility of a translation service
available during parent/ teacher interviews. |
