Recently the Board of Governors and the whole staff (teaching and non-teaching) of Ballymena Nursery School came together to discuss our school ethos with the support of a representative from the CSSC (Controlled Schools’ Support Council).
In addition, we discussed and reflected upon the comments received from our most recent questionnaire distributed to parents. The staff and Board of Governors were overwhelmed and delighted with the positive responses from parents coupled with the anecdotal quotes from the children.
Ethos is vital to a school as it reflects who we are and what we are about. It is the rock on which a school is built and should be reflected in every aspect of school life.
With this in mind, we would like to share the following statement of ethos for our school which was adopted by the Board of Governors on Tuesday, 29th January 2019.
“At Ballymena Nursery School, we pride ourselves in providing a warm, welcoming and safe environment which is respectful and supportive of everyone.”
